It's really hard to find a mobile game with teeth these days. It's all microtransactions and lootboxes and limp, idle gameplay. Island empire has ads but is far from egregious with them, has no in-purchases to make things easier as far as i can tell, and no real-time gated unlocks or 7 extra currencies to obfuscate some kind of false scarcity for a skin. It is a game, and it is quite fun, and slightly challenging.

Really love this game! It has AMAZING potential. I really hope this continues to get worked on as I want to keep playing it for a long time! There's some hiccups that feel like it's a bit in a beta stage. The opponents seem to always have a starting advantage, an unknown sum of money that seems to grow faster than it should, their lvl 1 can take your lvl 1 but you need a lvl 2 to take their lvl 1. If their funds were posted it would feel less unfair. Awesome game. Needs work. But it rules!

Thank you for your review! :) There is no bug known that the AI get more money as the player or that that the enemy lvl1 can destory the own lvl1. It could be that the enemy uprades his lvl1 to lvl2 and then attack. The Developer fulfilled their promise to bring us a new map! ..and this one is different. This time there are cool restrictions... Each turn you get to choose between two cards that have different playables (troops at different levels or walls or farms... You do need to be able to pay for the item with the usual gold per turn. I've tried about 10-12 of the new levels so far and I'm extremely excited. It's a completely different play feel from the first maps. A refreshing change to a wicked game
