Reweave.org Real World Stories

Sail a sea of islands and meet real people where they live in this fun and educational game. Wordless films, storybooks, recipes, cozy games, and play await!

Reweave is a calm, curious learning game for children. Every island belongs to a real person, filmed going about their day. A child watches, wonders, and comes to know someone new, with no words needed to understand. It is a gentle way for kids to learn about the world, its countries and cultures, and above all its people.

Our idea is simple: curiosity before judgment. A young child decides who counts as "us" long before they can read. Meeting a lot of real people, early and often, keeps a small world from staying small.

WHAT'S INSIDE
- 6 islands to sail between, each the home of a real person in India, Indonesia, Thailand, the United States or Ecuador.
- 38 wordless films of real people from 10 countries. No language barrier: every child can watch.
- 16 storybooks that open like a real book, the painting on one page and the words on the other.
- A recipe from every island to cook together, step by step.
- A garden to grow with water, soil and sun.
- A short chat with each person after their film: how did it make you feel?
- Faces to tap while watching or reading, so a child can show what they notice.
- Postcards from 32 more people around the world.
- A Diary that keeps the child's own words and a keepsake picture from each film.
- 11 languages.

A WORLD THAT FEELS ALIVE
Each island glows in its own real daylight, with lights at night, so a child can see it is morning for someone far away while it is evening at home. Drag to sail, pinch to zoom, and ride the cable car between islands (sometimes a butterfly carries it). Every person a child meets becomes a painted path home, and the child's own island grows a piece of every place they visit.

NEW IN 3.0
- One sea of islands instead of a map.
- Shantanu's island in India, new and free.
- Storybooks as a two-page spread.
- The child's own island and painted paths.
- A new grown-ups corner.
- A keepsake picture from each film in the Diary.

FOR GROWN-UPS
A simple check opens the grown-ups corner. It shows your child's own words and how their world is growing, explains how Reweave plays, and holds Premium, About us and Help. It locks when you leave, when the app goes to the background, and after two idle minutes. Reweave is a good companion for families and classrooms: watch a film together, then ask what your child noticed.

FREE AND PREMIUM
4 islands and 9 films are free, with no time limit. Premium opens 2 more islands and 29 more films. Purchases sit behind the grown-ups check.

PRIVACY AND SAFETY
No ads. No tracking. We collect no data about your child. No chat with strangers and no sharing. Films stream, so watching needs an internet connection.

MADE FOR EVERY CHILD
Clear, high-contrast text, support for screen readers, and Reduce Motion respected throughout.

LANGUAGES
English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Bahasa Indonesia, Kiswahili, Türkçe, 日本語, 한국어, 简体中文.

ABOUT REWEAVE
Reweave is a small nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We work with real people around the world to share their days as gentle stories for children. Books and films can be windows into other people's worlds and mirrors of a child's own (an idea from the educator Rudine Sims Bishop). Reweave gives children many windows, one real person at a time.

Explore the world, meet someone new, and keep wondering. Let's be curious about one another.
