It was my favorite app for maps. I understand the need to have a paid version. But somehow they managed to destroy the app, which is very obvious with the free version and the comments. I deleted the app. The good thing is that I had to look for another app and I found organic maps that is free and better than maps.me has ever been. Bye bye.

I use this app since years. I love the precision of the maps and the navigation for hiking. Concernig the navigation by car, a lot of progress remain needed. By bike, normally it works except one time, when the app recommended me to follow a national road without cyclable way beside. Finally, something that i hate is when i'm looking for a place or a district, the firsts results are really often hostel and apartments to rent and there is no option to disable this even with the premium version.

The authors have decided to start making money on their app. Fair enough, but they have chosen the wrong method. Wringing the users' arms won't do them much good. In the past, it was possible to download as many maps as you wanted in the free version. Now you have to buy premium. The free version is limited to 5 or 6. I don't remember exactly how many, because I have uninstalled the app. I am not their customer. Already found another app.
