I like it! A few of the mini games have finicky controls and I've seen them glitch out (not making appropriate sounds). A good example is the the spaceship lifting blocks to make a letter tower mini-game. I like having this game on my phone for long car rides, my kids can play something educational. At least they're practicing their reading when they would otherwise be complaining how boring the car ride is.

I discovered this teaching tool about four years ago and give it a large part of credit for helping my son learn to read. The app version is fairly intuitive and easier than the browser version for my three yearold since he finds using a mouse to be challenging for certain mini games. There is some weird phonetic sounds though. "R" in particular sounds almost like an "L" rather than an "rrrrr" and my kids find that confusing.

We started it with my granddaughter when she was 5 yrs old to actually help with her speech. We found because of the British/English accent (we are in western Canada) there were challenges at times to understand but it worked better with headphones to cut any outside noise. We use it both the computer version and the app version and have never had any problem with it freezing or not working. She is enjoying it more now than when we first started, her favourite part is choosing the outfits for her monster and catching trickies

Thanks for the review Suzanne, that's great to hear. We're delighted that Teach Your Monster to Read has helped your granddaughter with her speech and that she's enjoyed teaching her monster to read (as well as dressing her monster) :) Thanks, Alex
